Reliance DND Service Activation : Hi, guys, our telecom industry have so many consumers in India and most of them want to talk with their beloved one and some of them use it for the business, offices, etc. but all of them were disturbed by the ad agencies, unwanted commercial calls, and promotional messages.

So for this problem TRAI (Telecom Regulatory authority of India) introduced a service called DND (Do Not Disturb), by this service a user can easily register into the NCPR (National consumer preference registry). So that he can avoid all of the ads, here we are giving the details about how to activate the reliance DND service for your number.


DND means ‘Do not disturb’ service and by this service, you can avoid the unwanted calls and messages from commercial ad agencies. Of course, all Telemarketing organizations have to check their call list in the NCPR registry and finalizes after filtering those matched numbers. And so the registered reliance subscriber cannot receive those calls like the way.


Here we have two ways for activating your RELIANCE DND service. They are

  1. Activation by the SMS
  2. Activation by the Call

Choose one of the procedures to activate the DND for Reliance. Each one is subcategorized into two types they are: full activation and partial activation.

RELIANCE DND Activation through SMS:

Here we have some steps to follow the Reliance DND activation for both full activation and partial activation.

Step 1: Open the messages icon in your mobile.

Step 2: Type message like; SMS><Space>< START 0

Step 3: Send this message to 1909

Step 4: Within 24 hours you will receive a unique confirmation message.

Step 5: That’s it you completed the registration of your number in Reliance DND services.

Note that, in step 2 you sent the message with a number of ‘0’ which indicates the full blocking of ads or full activation of the DND to your number. If you want to activate the partial DND service for your number you may follow the below table for preferences areas.

For example: if you want to send multiple preferences at a single request, then send a message like SMS START 5, 6 to 1909. so you can block the ads for a particular area.

RELIANCE DND Activation Through Call

For subscribing to DND service to your Reliance number via Call. You have to follow the points discussed below.

  1. Make a call from the Reliance number.
  2. Dial 1909 and listen to the IVRS carefully.
  3. Give response to the system to reach the DND service topic.
  4. Once you get to the DND options, make sure to select full activation or partial activation.
  5. If full activation is selected, then simply accept the activation of DND.
  6. Otherwise please select the preference of your wish.
  7. Finalize the list by accepting the partial DND activation.
  8. You have registered to the DND service successfully.


There are two ways for deactivating the DND service for reliance subscriber and one of them is by calling to the customer care number 1909. Followed by the IVRS instructions given by the system you can deactivate the DND service to your Reliance number. Another way for unsubscribing the service is through the SMS, by sending a message for stopping the service to 1909. You can send the message like this  SMS><Space><STOP to 1909.


  • Please make sure that the age of your reliance SIM should more than 3 months for activation / deactivation DND process.
  • The Activation of the DND for your reliance number should take place within 7 days after registration.
  • DND cannot stop some services like bank alerts, bank communications, third party communications, online booking alerts, etc.
  • All the above services were free of cost due to the toll-free number 1909.
