I love watching youtube videos but please make it so that I don’t have to have a first and last name. Why can’t I just have a username? I don’t think everyone wants to use their full name and I definitely don’t want to. Please change this. ~ Chalux

I love youtube but for the past 8 hours I haven’t been able to watch a video on the main YouTube app. I can use the YouTube gaming and music apps just fine but for some reason I cannot use the main app. I noticed that other people have been having the same problem as me so i was wondering of you could fix it

All of a sudden, videos are not playing at all. All i see is a loading wheel turning and turning. I can’t even open the help panel. It has the same thing. My internet connection is showing as over 500mb/s with Speed Test. YouTube is working on my tv, so therefore the app on my phone is the problem.

Issue where in my phone in general is stable and working properly but when i run the app suddenly it does not respond and my phone just heats up for no reason, and i have no downloaded video. And when it did try to load a video it would take literally forever since it would crash trying to load a video, and yeah my internet is fine.

If there was a recent update, it bombed the app and it doesn’t load videos, buffering wheel forever. Not my internet connection, restarted phone, uninstalled app and it worked at an earlier version of the app until i decided to update the app (thinking problem solved) because there wasn’t a dark theme on the earlier version of the app. But it’s still messed.

Recently the app stopped playing videos for me. I have good internet connection – and the related videos and comments show up instantly, but the videos keep “buffering”. I even tried turning my phone off and on again, reinstalling the app but nothing seems to help.
